The biggest competition this past Saturday was not even the two teams facing on the field. Rather, it was Michigan's QB battle between JJ McCarthy and Cade McNamara, and that battle wasn't close either. McCarthy cemented his position as QB1 for the rest of the season and Michigan's entire team looked efficient, while Hawaii looked like the worst team in College Football. Michigan passed for 320 yards in their 56-10 win over the Rainbow Warriors, with the score being 42-0 at halftime in favor of the Wolverines. Of those 320 yards, McCarthy passed for 229 on 12 attempts, averaging 19.1 yards per pass and adding 3 passing touchdowns to his resume. 3rd string QB Davis Warren also got some playing time, and the previous starter Cade McNamara struggled. RBs Blake Corum, CJ Stokes, and Donovan Edwards all got touches and each had 1 rushing touchdown. The defense played lights out and forced Hawaii to punt 10 times. Michigan, however, has yet to be truly tested.
