Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines were supposed to face their first test of the 2023 College Football season. Instead, in front of around 80,000 opposing fans, Michigan football beheaded Nebraska by a score of 45-7, for all the world to see. With Penn State, Georgia, and Washington struggling yesterday, Michigan had one of Saturday's most impressive performances. Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy went 12/16 for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns through the air, along with 30 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown. The Wolverines also rushed for 249 yards and sacked Heinrich Haarberg 4 times. Overall, Michigan dominated this matchup while Nebraska came out flat. I encourage Nebraska Football fans to temper their reaction to this matchup. Matt Rhule is still in the process of rebuilding Nebraska's football program, and Michigan is one of the few elite teams in College Football. There was no way Nebraska was winning this game, and I would not be surprised if Michigan Football marched on to the College Football Playoffs.
