It is my opinion that the Nebraska Cornhuskers are going bowling at the end of the 2023 College Football season. I had that opinion entering the season, and now that we are around halfway through the season, I am still confident in my prediction. Nebraska Football dominated Illinois Football 20-7, and the game was not as close as the score indicated. A big difference between these two teams is the physicality the Cornhuskers and the Fighting Illini showcased. Nebraska looked like the more Big Ten team, while Illinois looked like one of the worst teams in the Big Ten Conference. Nebraska ran for 158 yards on 49 attempts, averaging 3.2 yards per carry and earning 2 scores. Heinrich Haarberg had a good game at quarterback and should continue to grow as the season goes on. My reaction to this game is Matt Rhule and Nebraska are slowly building momentum, while Illinois seems to be directionless.
