Yesterday Kyle McCord was named Ohio State Football's starting quarterback. After a long battle with 4-star Devin Brown in spring, summer, and football camp, Ryan Day named Kyle McCord the Buckeyes' starting quarterback because of his consistency. Ohio State has an elite supporting cast to help McCord grow into his role as one of the more highly anticipated quarterbacks in the country, with running backs Miyan Williams and TreVeyon Henderson, wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr and Emeka Egbuka, and offensive guards Donovan Jackson and Matthew Jones all being returning starters who could be All-American players. Defensively, Jim Knowles is in year two with Ohio State, and he returns captain linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, star defensive end JT Tuimoloau, and safety Lathan Ransom. Indiana, on the other hand, has plenty of question marks. The Hoosiers had 23 incoming transfers and 23 players who departed the program, including former starting quarterback Connor Bazelak. Linebacker Aaron Casey and cornerback Noah Pierre are great players, but it will not be enough to stop Ohio State from dominating the matchup.
