Ohio State vs Penn State is College Football's biggest matchup of the week. According to the AP Poll, Penn State Football is the 7th best team in the nation and Ohio State Football is 3rd. According to Potential Power, the Nittany Lions are 6th and the Buckeyes are 2nd. These teams are Top 10 and potentially both are national title contenders. We will learn so much about these teams after the conclusion of this Big Noon Kickoff matchup. Penn State has played a schedule that resides outside of the Top 100 in strength, meanwhile, the Buckeyes have struggled in 17-14 and 37-17 wins over Notre Dame and Maryland. James Franklin is 0-4 against Ryan Day, but right now Penn State is No.1 in margin of victory in the country and they have the No.1 defense according to ESPN's efficiency rankings and yards per play allowed. Ohio State Football still has elite players in Marvin Harison Jr and Emeka Egbuka along with a great Tight End in Cade Stover. My prediction for this game is Ohio State wins 30-17, in a tight, slow, and dirty 60 minutes. Ohio State will have more trips to the red zone and more yards, but the Nittany Lions will be more efficient in the red zone.
