Ohio State Football is coming off a Top 10, 20-12 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions. Defense dominated in that matchup and it was thanks to wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr and defensive end JT Tuimoloau that Ryan Day came out with his 18th victory against ranked opponents. Wisconsin Football, meanwhile, enters this game attempting to play a spoiler. I expect the Badgers, particularly head coach Luke Fickell, to bring their A+ game on Saturday. Luke Fickell used to play for Ohio State in the 1990s and he coached under Jim Tressel and Urban Meyer on the defensive side of the ball. My prediction for this primetime matchup is a large Ohio State victory. The Buckeyes will win 31-13 because of their talent advantage at nearly every position along with their elite staff, particularly on defense. Unlike in previous years, this Buckeyes defense has both an elite defensive line and an elite secondary, along with NFL linebackers. Jim Knowles is coordinating a hefty package hear, with Ohio State Football only allowing 100.6 rushing yards per game. I think Wisconsin running back Brealon Allen will have limited success, but it won't be enough to help Wisconsin win.
