The Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Wisconsin Badgers in prime time by a sound score of 24-10. Despite losing the turnover battle and having some hiccups on defense, Ohio State Football played with excellent poise, the trenches looked great, and the defense once again bent but never came close to breaking. Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr led the Buckeyes in receiving yards, hauling in 123 yards and 2 touchdowns from Kyle McCord. Unfortunately for Wisconsin Football, elite running back Braelon Allen suffered an injury and only finished the game with 50 rushing yards. His health was paramount to a potential Wisconsin win, and without him, Wisconsin would likely lose another game. My reaction to this game was a bag of mixed feelings. On one hand, Ohio State's defense looks like an elite unit, and despite playing conservatively they registered 2 sacks and 4 tackles for loss. Meanwhile, Ohio State's offense gave away 3 turnovers, quarterback Kyle McCord had a 57.0 QBR and made several inaccurate passes, and the offensive line gave up 9 tackles for loss. In my analysis, I make it a clear point that Ohio State's offense has to improve, otherwise, the defense will have to take an insurmountable amount of pressure.
