Ohio State Football answered some critical questions in their 35-7 win against the Youngstown State Penguins. So far, in their 2023 season, the offense has struggled, especially with running the football. Kyle McCord was named the Buckeyes' starting quarterback, and wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka showed off their talents, catching 3 of Ohio State's 5 total touchdowns. This week, Ryan Day and his staff have one more chance to safely experiment with position group rotations, play calls, and game plans, without risking a loss. Ohio State will face Western Kentucky this weekend at 4:00 PM ET. Western Kentucky runs an air raid offense and they return quarterback Austin Reed, who has 5,333 passing yards, 46 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in his two-year career with the Hilltoppers. My prediction is best summarized by the word chemistry. I think Ohio State's offense will begin to show off its true colors this week, with the staff calling the right plays and utilizing their talent properly. Quarterback Kyle McCord will continue to build off of last week's performance and the running back room will show off their many talented players.
