Description

Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection caused by various strains of the Leptospira bacteria. It commonly spreads through contact with water, soil, or food contaminated with the urine of infected animals, particularly rodents. The infection can affect humans and animals and may lead to a range of symptoms, including fever, headache, muscle pain, chills, nausea, vomiting, and in severe cases, liver and kidney damage. Leptospirosis can be treated with antibiotics if diagnosed early, but without prompt treatment, it can lead to serious complications or even death.
