Dr. Dietrich Vollrath is a professor of Economics at the University of Houston, and serves as Chair of that department. His new book, "Fully Grown: Why a Stagnant Economy is a Sign of Success" looks at why a slowing economy is a sign of prosperity and is okay and justified given the number of workers relative to the US population. We discuss how we got to a slower growth economy and what it means, recalibrating our own metrics of success, taxes, and the increasing pile of student debt.
