One of the challenges of reading and interpreting the Bible is to understand how different stories relate to each other and to the overall message of Scripture. Sometimes, we find stories that seem to have similarities and differences, and we wonder what they mean and what they teach us. In this episode, I will look at two stories in the Bible that have some parallels and contrasts: Numbers chapter thirteen verse one to Numbers chapter fourteen verse one to seven, and Joshua chapter two verse one to verse twenty-four. A striking aspect of these similarities and differences is the report of the majority and the report of the minority.
