Firstly, I want to extend thanks to everyone who has supported me with encouragement to air these messages that improve and enable life in Messiah Yehoshua. I have titled this episode from Parashah Bereshith which highlights a taste from Genesis 2:4–4:26, and I Samuel 20:18-42, true friends, false friends. Broadly speaking, Genesis 2:4–4:26 tells the story of the creation of the world and the fall of humanity. It provides important insights into the nature of the Most High, humanity, and sin. Reading the haftarah passage, I Samuel 20:18-42 tells the story of the friendship between David and Jonathan. It is a story of loyalty, courage, and sacrifice. It also shows the importance of true friendship and the power of covenant.
