Yahweh rewarded Phinehas for his zeal in killing an Israelite man and a Midianite woman who had committed idolatry and immorality. However, in these times killing people because they are involved in idolatry or immorality is no longer practiced or necessary since Yehoshua Messiah explained the law in greater detail or fully (gadal – Isaiah 42:21; pleroo – Matthew 5:17), for people to have the best understanding of Yahweh’s straight path (Mark 2:3; Isaiah 40:3). Besides, the bible states that all who continue in sin will die as a payment for their evil hearts and wicked imaginations (Ezekiel 18:20; Romans 6:23).
