Lindy Royer, PT, PMA-CPT, is the Founder of Park Meadows Center for Movement. She believes movement is a requirement for creating a life of meaning and purpose. As a Movement Behavioral Specialist, she helps put people into motion so they can fully express themselves in the world, pursue their dreams, have fun, and eat more chocolate. Chocolate consumption is one of Lindy’s Core Values, although she occasionally agrees to work with people who don’t like chocolate.
This week, Dr. Carly and Lindy discuss breaking down societal norms surrounding movement, and explore the complex relationship between emotion, movement and overcoming fear after injury. Lindy also recounts her unique movement journey, and how movement became fun again.
