It's not often that one film functions as the audition real for a cast of actors to eventually go on to bigger and better roles, but that's exactly what this week's movie does.

Daredevil, otherwise known as Ben Affleck's audition for Batman, otherwise known as John Favreau's audition for Happy Hogan, otherwise known as Colin Farrell's audition for Fright Night, is one of those films that lives in the moment so completely it is difficult to remember why anyone thought it was a good idea in the first place.

A mess of pacing issues, dialogue flubs, contextless sex and violence, and awash with actors committing to their roles despite the film's issues, Daredevil opens an interesting discussion between Josh and Ryan. Josh watched the more vaunted Director's Cut, and Ryan watched the original theatrical release. Tune in this week as they discuss the differences and why one version represents a far more complete vision than the other.

Daredevil may be the man without fear, but you're also going to need a healthy dose of bravery if you intend on sitting through this faltering, early 2000s superhero movie!

Daredevil was released in 2003 and stars Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Michael Clark Duncan and Colin Farrell.
