Description

Pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause are major life events that affect all women in various ways, including physical and/or emotional symptoms. It can result in a pelvic floor disorder, such as urinary problems, prolapse, and/or loss of bowel control. Women don't have the courage to visit their doctor and ask about these things, and sometimes get embarrassed about it. Aoife Ní Eochaidh shifted her specialty from sports physio to pelvic physio, and is the founder of International Pelvic Physiotherapy Management (IPPM). Seeing first hand the awful impact pelvic dysfunctions had on her late Grandmother, and as a mother of three kids herself. She wants to give support and help mothers that also experience pelvic floor dysfunction. In this episode, she will talk all about the pelvic floor and why we all have these bladder leaks and the issues that will happen to women before and after having a baby. We’ll also talk about the hormonal changes during pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause and postnatal menopause. Aoife and her team make Pelvic Floor Training accessible for all at an affordable price and is done virtually! Help yourself to feel better, because there's no point in putting up with things when they can really be improved.
