Don't even bother trying to count the amount of abs in this picture, because it's time to talk about Magic Mike. The film features almost thirty minutes of pure cinema, in the form of its extended dance/strip sequences. Their pretty much the reason anyone would watch Magic Mike, in which all of the actors perform their own choreography in long takes. It's actually pretty dang impressive. But what the casual strip dance admirer may forego mentioning about this film, is the fact that the remaining hour and twenty minutes of runtime is a pretty solid character drama carried by Channing Tatum's charming performance. And it even has a mob-esque subplot! Plus, after we take our first steps into the Magic Mike trilogy, we review the many huge trailers which dropped over the past few days.
