Our first franchise of 2024 is a beloved trilogy which we all get to experience for the very first time over the next couple of months. And that begins this week with Richard Linklater's 1995 romantic drama, Before Sunrise. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy exhibit fantastic on-screen chemistry as Jesse and Celine, young travellers who meet on a train in Europe and form an instant connection. The two leads not only steal the show, but they are pretty much the whole damn show. The entire movie centres on their walking and talking through Vienna over the course of one summer night. The dialogue and topics of conversation are not just charming, but also quite thought provoking. And as pleasant as this film may be, it certainly raises some interesting philosophical debates that we delve into on this very episode. As long as we don't go off on too many tangents... Plus, it's once again the time of year to discuss the Oscar nominees and give our predictions. And we'll share our most anticipated shows and movies releasing this year.
