Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt, facing off against one of the franchise’s top villains, Owen Davian, played menacingly and memorably by Philip Seymour Hoffman. The film delivers thrilling set pieces, from a chaotic bridge attack to a high intensity helicopter extraction. While it might not be our favourite in the Mission series, it offers plenty of entertainment in stunning locations like the Vatican and Shanghai. MI3 undoubtedly brings a lot to the table to keep the fuse burning on the franchise.
