Argo won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2013. Directed by and starring Ben Affleck, the film is based on a real CIA operation aimed at rescuing six US citizens from Iran in 1980, under the guise of a movie production crew. It's a fun thriller with memorable moments and performances from the likes of John Goodman, Alan Arkin, and Bryan Cranston. It does however take some liberties in its historical accuracy.
