In 1979, Sir Ridley Scott actually made a quality film you may have heard of called Alien (thank god they didn't go with 'Star Beast'). The premise is pretty simple really. The crew of The Nostromo spacecraft investigate an unknown signal, leading to a deadly xenomorph invading their ship and killing them off one by one. Where the film shines, and undoubtedly holds up over 40 years later, is the way in which builds incredible suspense and atmosphere with some of the best lighting, production design, music, and direction of actors we've ever seen. And my god, that tongue mouth thing will haunt us forever!
