Description

It is officially the two year anniversary of this here Cinema Effect podcast. Can you believe it?! For the occasion, we thought it would be fitting to go back to where it all began. And that is with a filmmaker (and friend of the show) by the name of Michael Mann. This time around, we review what many believe to be one of the great films released in the last 30 years and Mann's magnum opus, the 1995 crime drama, Heat. All you really need to know before watching is that Robert De Niro and Al Pacino are pitted against each other on opposite sides of the law, as De Niro's crew plan and execute heists across Los Angeles. Give it a watch if you haven't for the amazing performances, thought provoking screenplay, and grounded action. Then come back and listen to this episode of course.
