This week's episode of Down to the Wire is joined by none other than Ottawa legend, City Fidelia (27:44). Over the course of 2 hours and a bunch of drinks, we dive into his new album, 'Painkiller', his role in the city, the creation of his studio in downtown Ottawa and his collaborations with Shelley FKA DRAM, Vic Mensa & Malik Yusef. And that's only the first hour of this colossal episode.
By the second half the drinks were flowing, conversation was loose and at least one (John's) shirt was off. In the second half, we touched on everything from his creative process, Kanye's recent outbursts in the news and him being the underdog.
But of course the show is kicked off with our Backpage News with headlines such as; 'He did NOT chicken out! Hundreds cheer Philly 'chicken man' as he completes promise to eat entire rotisserie bird for 40 consecutive days - because "it seemed like the right thing to do"' (6:03), 'NASCAR driver stuns racing fans with a move he learned playing Nintendo' (13:58), & 'Driver "seriously" injured after being run over three times by own car' (18:51)
