This week's episode of the Down to the Wire Podcast is a special one where we put our journalism skills to work. After a spicy intro we invite a couple special guests, Chelsea (13:07) and Dan (34:44); two former employees of the infamous 99 Rideau St. McDonald's to share horror stories from their time there. Their stories range from police visits to brawls, management corruption and even a serial Jerker.
After that we get into our Backpage News segment where we bring you stories from the depths of the internet with headlines such as: 'Japanese zoo solves mystery of isolated gibbon's pregnancy' (1:08:27) and 'Arizona bill would make it illegal to let your kid watch Mulan' (1:16:11).
And finally we run our segment 'Soapbox' where we fill you in on all things DTTW such as our Capital Hoops Vlog, Racco's big audition for the part of a 'sketchy gun dealer' as well as your chance to win a chance to Amsterdam paid for by Redbull.
