Chaz discusses the black community being bamboozled by organizations like BLM,NAACP and CBC
In today's context, we can draw parallels between Malcolm X's metaphor of house and field Negroes and certain dynamics within marginalized communities. The "house Negro" represents individuals who may have achieved a level of success within the existing societal structures. They often align themselves closely with the dominant culture, perhaps out of a desire for acceptance or personal advancement. This can manifest in various ways, such as conforming to societal norms, adopting the language and values of the majority, and being defensive of the status quo.
On the other hand, the "field Negro" symbolizes those who, due to systemic barriers, face greater hardships and discrimination. They may be more resistant to assimilation, as their experiences lead them to question and challenge the existing power structures. The metaphor prompts us to reflect on how internal divisions can hinder collective progress within marginalized communities.
