In fact it has been around for over 10 years, and in that time it has developed quite a rich history. Not to be confused with the genre of Afrobeat (sigular with no S) Afrobeats has gone from local audiences in the west African country of Nigeria to global sensation. Artists and music from this region are becoming more well known and topping international charts.
