In the 34th episode of the FightFit Podcast, we talked to Craig Jackson.
Craig talks about his incredible experiences growing up in South Africa during the Apartheid regime and what it was like being a professional swimmer in those times. He details the experience of being excluded from the international stage due to South Africa’s Olympic ban, before eventually representing the country when they were allowed back on the international stage at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
Craig is now the high performance coach at MSAC and coach of Aussie Olympic gold medallist as Mack Horton. With Mack Horton having been in the news recently for taking a stand against doping in the sport, Craig provides valuable insight into the situation, as well as Mack as a person and an athlete.
