Stu Watts chats with KB808 (Kris Beats), who is an Australian-Lebanese studio owner (Cosmic Bounce Records), producer and engineer based in Melbourne. Initially picked up a passion for music from DeeJaying in High School earning him the title official school "DJ" by 14. Starting out in his professional music career at DMC records in Prahran in the early 00s, Kris quickly grew a passion recording studios at a young age picking up early production techniques and analogue/digital gear knowledge from early mentors in the music industry that has helped propel him to many different areas of expertise. KB808's first big break as a record producer was in 2018 for the Album "Lessons" by Australian singer and songwriter Kara. Since then, KB808 has produced records for other notable artists including Adrian Swish, Double O Smoove, Jess Makaveli, JDro, Alpy, Mirna, GMC, Gymie, B.C.M, Netty, Trex Da Menace, Jase BeatHedz, and more. Kris’s mixing experience and passion for music of all sorts has attracted artists that are after a special edge to their sound. His specialities include Indie/Dance, Electronic, Dubstep and Hip-hop. He is continually involved in producing and recording his own music and sound designs on solo and co-op projects.
