Stu Watts chats with Sirpreme, born in Queensland, he relocated to Melbourne as a DJ, and has since ventured into production, mainly focusing on lofi hip-hop inspired by the classic sounds of DJ Premier and Statik Selektah. After the success of his 2021 release Soulstice, which featured the likes of Buddy Ryan, KJDSOUL, Duka, HENNESSY, Dope Diana, & J. Alston, Sirpreme once again teamed up with Duka for an upcoming collaborative project that’s set to further link Melbourne and Atlanta’s music scenes.
2021 was a huge year for Sirpreme, and his upcoming project with Duka is set to be mana for hip-hop lovers that are wanting a return to the sounds of yesteryear with a modern twist.
