In case you’re in a hurry, here are three things to know right now. First, the high-profile bank struggles of the past few weeks highlight just how important and interconnected every financial institution is. And since these are all social institutions, it makes sense that society – you and me and everyone else – take steps to protect depositors. Second, Appleton Group automatically converted most money market assets in managed accounts to assets backed by U.S. Treasuries. It’s worth mentioning again the double benefit of higher yields and increased security.
