So, the movie that made it to number one on my list of most highly-anticipated movies of 2019 - M. Night Shyamalan's Glass, in theaters January 18 - is taking a critical pounding. Whoops. Still, I'm withholding judgement until I see it myself, although I have noticed some problems and inconsistencies throughout Shyamalan's career which seem worth discussing here.
Also, was Kevin Wendell Crumb's creepiest personality, other than the Beast, named for a character from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? I'd suggest you watch the season 5 episode "Mac and Charlie Write a Movie," then watch Split and take note of which of Crumb's personas goes about abducting teenage girls with a disturbingly thorough methodology.
