Luke Perry has left us way too soon. Many people who worked with Perry, who died of a massive stroke at the age of 52, are heartbroken and grief-stricken. Riverdale has shut down so that the cast and crew can mourn Perry, who played Archie’s father Fred Andrews.
I'm even broken up about it, and I met Perry once, for maybe 3 minutes, over 20 years ago. It turns out that it's way to easy for the good to die young, and while you should always appreciate your life and your friends and loved ones, read this if you're wondering why strokes are even more dangerous for young men like Perry than for the elderly, here's the very sad explanation: https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/people/2019/03/04/luke-perry-death-stroke-middle-age-adult-centers-disease-control/3057585002/
In happier news, the world premiere of Captain Marvel is tonight (even though there was already a world premiere in the UK, but everything on that side of the pond is a bit confusing at the moment - not that we in the US have any claim of normalcy).
While they were overseas, Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson appeared on the Jonathan Ross Show. Ross, a lifelong comics fan, enjoyed Larson and Jackson's take on the song "Shallow" from A Star is Born. You can watch that here: https://youtu.be/3BucpXwaZHg
And for the spoiler-ific concept art from Captain Marvel, that suggests a huge secret that could change everything about the Marvel Cinematic Universe's past and future, check this out: https://www.cbr.com/captain-marvel-concept-art-fury-skrull/
