I’ve been getting loads of questions today about the actors who were caught up in the college admissions scandal, mentioned on last night’s podcast - http://tinyurl.com/y277jsuk - about why Felicity Huffman has been arrested, and both Lori Loughlin and her husband are being charged, but Huffman’s husband William H. Macy has so far avoided any legal troubles. I have to admit I’m puzzled, since Macy is actually named in the criminal complaint, but I’m happy to speculate.
In the meantime, I'm very happy to report that Bryan Singer has been fired from Red Sonja. Another toxic entertainment business figure with decades of abuse scandals for which he hasn't even tried to repent, he has no place on a film set until there's been a full investigation of his many alleged crimes.
Lastly, two shows are returning for the second half of their seasons on Netflix - one (Arrested Development) has aged terribly, while the other (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) is doing amazing, bold things with its characters and storytelling.
