I'm working with an injury tonight, so have a little sympathy! I took a nasty header onto the streets of New York City, but my new iPhone XS is safe thanks to a screen protector - never leave home without one!

What's less clear is what saved the pretty terrible Venom - I was sure it was going to be a bomb, because I'm it's target audience and I hated it! However, the Spider-Man movie which can't mention Spider-Man, the PG-13 movie about a cannibal alien, made back about twice its budget during its opening weekend. This has Sony thinking about prioritizing the Spider-verse movies that have been on the back-burner, like Silver Sable, Black Cat and Kraven the Hunter.

While over at Warner Bros, James Gunn, cast out by the House of Mouse, is tasked with making fans love the Suicide Squad. After the first film crashed and burned, critically and commercially, DC made the excellent decision to hire Gunn to write, and possibly direct, its sequel. The source material is awesome, and Gunn has done the impossible with comic movies before, so this could very well be a success. What's more, Dave Bautista loved working with Gunn and is begging to be released from his role as Drax and move on over to Suicide Squad 2 as Bane. I approve.
