On January 15th, 1947, the body of a 22-year-old woman named Elizabeth Short (also known as Black Dahlia) was found in Leimert Park, Los Angeles. Her face had been cut in a way that made her smile extend from one ear to the other, in what is known as the "Glasgow smile".
