Description

A Social Work Podcast dedicated to helping folks deal with Life, Stress and Mental Health. The goal is to work on our healing together versus doing it alone. Trey blends his personal experiences with his clinical expertise to do just that. Although not a substitute for therapy the podcast serves as an added resource and tool to utilize for your overall Mental Health-care. This podcast also aims to speak out about social issues at the local, state and federal level. A unique social work podcast aimed to “Speak Up For Those That Cannot Speak For Themselves”

This week's episode we discuss insensitive comments made by a local board of supervisors in Caroline County, Virginia about kids in school with disabilities and those who have “Melanin” in their skin.  This is Trey’s hometown and he cares deeply about it and is passionate about helping change the community. It’s a two-part episode that also includes an interview with Alger James III to discuss his thoughts and comments from the board meeting.
