Have you ever played hide and kiss? I mean hide and seek? Lol, who didn’t hide from their parents or older siblings when they wanted to touch lips with that special person you were crazy about when you were a teenager? I did, I am the middle child, I have 3 older brothers, and 3 younger sisters, of course I had to hide!!!! especially from my brothers they were the overprotective type, if I wanted to kiss my boyfriend I had to hide, and I was already 17 when I had my first boyfriend! If you have been following this podcast for a while, by now you should know that today we are going to talk about kisses, and I am not endorsing any particular candy, today we are going to talk about the chemical reactions in our brain and body that kissing causes.
According to Wikipedia: a kiss is the act of touching or pressing one's lips against another person or an object. Merriam Webster dictionary definition of kiss: to touch (someone or something) with the lips especially as a mark of affection or greeting
A kiss can express sentiments of love, passion, romance, sexual attraction, affection, respect, greeting, friendship, peace, and good luck, among many others. In some situations, a kiss is a ritual, formal or symbolic gesture indicating devotion and, or respect. Besides the romantic benefits, only if you are a good kisser, Lol!!!There are many other health and brain benefits in our bodies when we kiss.
Kissing triggers your brain to release chemicals including oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin, which can make you feel euphoric and encourage feelings of affection and bonding. The rush of oxytocin released when you kiss causes feelings of affection and attachment. Kissing your partner can improve relationship satisfaction and may be especially important in long-term relationships. In addition to boosting your happy hormones, kissing can reduce your cortisol levels — potentially improving your self-steem.
YOUR MAGIC KISS.- By Erika Sandoval.
The low light in the horizon,
The soft touch of your lips,
Transforms my life and circumstances
With just the Magic of one Kiss.
I ignore the world’s chaos and it’s non-sense
I don’t care if there’s war
I will gladly give everything I have
For just the glare of your soul.
And when our lips touch again
To transport me to that special place
I will forget loses and sorrows
With the liquids of your tongue
The sun high above us
The ocean brave in it’s infinity
Will celebrate our kissing glory
And the magic of your kiss.
