Description

Hello again my friends!

This is Dulcinea again with positive messages through classic poetry and sometimes new poetry by myself and guests. As always a million thanks from the bottom of my heart for listening today and tomorrow, it means the world to me that you would spare a few minutes of your time listening to this podcast, and if you like it by all means please share it, let’s keep spreading care and bring Universal Love to every single person out there.

I hope you excuse my accent and mispronunciation. I am a beginner in this podcasting thing, but I am a veteran at positive thinking, good energy, feelings of good vibes and self-love. Like I said in the first episode, I won’t talk about anything else but Self-Love, Love for animals,  love for every human being and Love for this awesome Planet that we call “home”

I am sitting here in my living room, after a 2 hour hike from Mt. Diablo, if you are from California, you know where Mt. Diablo is, but for those of you who have never been; it’s located in the East Bay part of our beautiful San Francisco Bay. The weather is not as hot as I expected, I am sipping coffee, sitting on the staircase, and I can’t help but feel deep gratitude. For being where I am, even with the little I have, because I’m privileged to live another day and with that another set of opportunities to achieve health and with the strongest intention to keep it that way.

While I was hiking I was listening to a podcast talking about motivation, and what I have found out at this stage of my life is that it doesn’t matter how many motivational speeches you get to listen to, the most important part is WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?

When you find your motivation, then you create a routine, then your routine teaches you the discipline you need to keep doing what you need to do in order to get to where you want to be, and when you have that machine working all together is when you achieve whatever it is that you planned to get. So my poem for today is more of a push than a poem, or a motivational poem if you want to call it like that. I started writing it back in early 2020 in the middle of the pandemic. It's more a self-talk and I wrote it at a time when I was looking for answers and I have no shame to say that I felt lost. I called it contemplation, I hope you like it.

CONTEMPLATION.

By Erika Sandoval

Every time I see you there,

I remember when and where,

It’s like time stopped at once

When we agreed to do this dance.

Every time I see you there,

I remind myself my “why”

I can’t think about it now

But I’m sure it will reignite.

Every time I see you there,

It’s like Magic all again,

It's a call deep in my heart.

That will bring me back to start.

From day 1 to day Z

I just want to laugh and eat

And remember who we were

Every time I see you there.

I was looking at my reflection in the mirror while I was thinking about a problematic part of my life at the moment. Life is a series of blows, some blows you can block and some you can’t, the ones you can block try to soften the blow, but No matter what life throws at you, remember that you can also punch back, in my personal experience the most important part in order to get out of stagnation is take a break to take a deep breath, dust yourself, lick your wounds and keep going, because defeat is not an option.

This is what my adversary circumstances have taught me, I hope this little poem can inspire you to look once more in that mirror and remind you of that special something or someone THAT MOTIVATES YOU, your WHY will make you succeed at whatever you are looking to get out of this fun game called “Life”
