Each Sunday morning in the summer season (typically June–first week in August), the Montreat community gathers to worship the living God with prayer, singing, artistic expressions, and the Word proclaimed. The Worship Series is hosted by Montreat Conference Center in partnership with Montreat Presbyterian church and hosts new preachers every week.
This is a special episode of the Summer Worship Podcast. "MLK's Unfinished Agenda" was a conference hosted by Montreat Conference Center in August of 2015 celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of Dr. King’s address to the "Christian Action Conference" at Montreat Conference Center. The conference struggled with the question, "How can the church of today answer the challenges King posed in Anderson Auditorium in 1965?" One of the speakers for this event, and indeed the speaker in this podcast, was Representative John Lewis.
