This week's guest is Shannon Huffman Polson, author of The Grit Factor: Courage, Resilience, and Leadership in the Most Male-Dominated Organization in the World and founder of the Grit Institute. During her time in the armed forces, Shannon became one of the first women to fly Apache helicopters. She then went on to earn her MBA and now helps others on their journeys. Shannon uses the lessons she's learned throughout her education, the army and her life experiences to coach others on leadership, creativity and grit. Throughout this episode, Jenn and Shannon share their commonalities both earning respect as a woman in male-dominated fields, they talk about grit as a skill, and Shannon explains why service is her driving purpose.
