During the height of the Cold War it was common to see films about nuclear war. Threads is one of the most devastating of these. Produced by the BBC in 1984, Threads is a hyper-realistic look at what would happen to the threads of our society in the event of a nuclear war. Modern films like A House of Dynamite owe their existence to the great Cold War films of yesterday.
