EXIT DIRECTIONS
I learned about Exit Directions 6 years ago when I started teaching in a new school district.
Here’s the general idea. You just finished giving instructions on what the students will be doing in class. You’ve explained the worksheet to them or walked them through the lab and now you want them to begin their work. You are EXITING the teaching stage!
Okay PAUSE for a minute, have you ever given directions only for your students to have a million questions almost immediately after they begin working? ME TOO! (Exit Directions will completely clear this up!)
