Description

This week, we debrief our challenge to write letters to our post-dissertation selves. Spoiler: it was a struggle and we have a lot of doubts about our work. We wonder whether artists can like their own art. We also talk about our wonderful and surprisingly complicated feelings about visiting Oxford. Aparna dislikes introspection and Haley learns that all cutlery are utensils but all utensils are not cutlery. We explore English as the assumed default language. Aparna discovers that artificial whale poop might save us all and Haley rediscovers math.

Haley spotlights GirlTrek’s Black History Bootcamp (@girltrek on Instagram or the podcast on Spotify).

Aparna spotlights Julie Flett, Cree-Métis children’s book author and illustration.
