In today's episode, Stephen discusses an experience where he was DNF'd (Did Not Finish) the Brazos Bend 100 mile ultramarathon (plus, an earlier 100 mile attempt at Crazy Mountain 100). He found his body and mind breaking down about 1/2 way through the event and understood his training for the event was sub-par. Stephen had been training solo for 4+ years, while seeking minimal council where it fit right. His ego worked against him.

Stephen cognized he needed to get back to the basics and hire a coaching specializing in strengthen training and nutrition. He knew he needed a simple-to-follow program to enable him to prepare him for several monster goals this year. He hired Justin Tidd, an online coach, Chief Sales Officer, Body Builder, and entrepreneur I met through several Arete business associates. More about Justin on a later podcast.
