One of the greatest healers of many health concerns is movement, whether that be running, going to the gym, dancing, stretching, walking, or doing yoga. We need movement in order to feel good about ourselves and our bodies. More specifically, when we are talking about yoga, it seems as though it has slowly pushed away marginalized populations from accessing it- just like many other mental health interventions. As a result, Tamika Caston-Miller joined this conversation to not only talk about her experience as a yoga professional and helping her clients but also advocate for social justice, share information about the BIPOC burden, and how we, as agents, can make this practice more accessible to marginalized populations.
