In R&D if you ask the wrong question and then answer it with the appropriate research, nothing of value is created. In society and politics, if we ask or debate the wrong question, when we answer the question we still have nothing.
When we ask does this action increase the GDP we blindly accept that if the answer is yes, then we should proceed. What if that is the wrong question. These and other examples are explored to see if we could make more progress as a society if we spent more time looking for the right question instead of arguing about the answers to questions that don't matter.
