Can’t see grandma
Can’t see grandma for awhile.
Social distancing mom says,
Stand down, stand-alone.
Mom, we never ate together before.
Why is Dad home now?
Never played monopoly,
All four sitting and laughing.
Grandma got a cough
But it’s not the bad kind
Just needs to rest
Rest on a cot alone
Rest on a cot in the back, alone.
Dad’s cooking now
Say’s we’ll be okay
He read us stories
Till we laughed and he cried.
Mom watches the sunset
And listens to old music
Sitting all alone
On our back porch
Sitting all alone.
Can’t see grandma
Can’t see grandma for awhile.
