When is making mistakes good? Perhaps when you learn from them? Perhaps when you go a new direction and it becomes obvious that it is a better path than you were on before. For example, California is moving toward EV's and renewable power very rapidly. I think this will waste a lot of the money of the citizens of California. They will get higher electricity bills for their effort and more CO2 into the air. I think they are making a huge mistake, but the rest of the nation will get to learn from their experiment and this may save the nation trillions of dollars in the long run.
