Themes: Legacy Media, Journalism, Propaganda.

Richard Garner has worked in media for almost 30 years. He’s worked in documentary, radio, and podcasting on a wide range of topics in legacy media and freelancing for independent media. In his time working in media he’s witnessed the consolidation of media into a corporately owned industry controlled by the ‘elite’ and how that's completely changed the process of journalism.

In this episode we talk about:

☑️ “The end justifies the means” which mainstream media has used as a pass to push a propagandistic narrative.

☑️ The idea that objectivity is considered “right wing” by legacy media.

☑️ The apparent politic switch between liberal and democrat which has been heightened by mainstream media.

☑️ Journalism, which used to be a blue collar job, has become an 'elite' career, which creates a conflict of interest and effects the quality of journalism.
