Episode Description:

The world needs more community labs. How can we make this dream possible and create environments where people can experientially learn, boldly create, and meaningfully grow with the life sciences?

On today's episode, hosts Erum Azeez and Karl Schmieder sit down with Beth Tuck from Genspace to discuss the benefits of having community science labs and how we can open more doors for people interested in biotech.

Beth is the Executive Director at Genspace, the world's first community biology lab, where people of all backgrounds and identities can interact with the life sciences. Since 2009, the lab has served the greater New York area by providing hands-on STEAM education programs for youth and adults. Their programs demystify scientific processes, provide a platform for innovation, and cultivate the next generation of life science leaders.

Grow Everything brings to life the bioeconomy when hosts Karl Schmieder and Erum Azeez Khan share stories from the field and interview leaders and influencers in the space.  Life is a powerful force and it can be engineered. What are we creating?
